Fragola Engineering began its collaboration with Mercedes Petronas HPP F1 in 2017, extending support throughout the 2018 season, primarily focusing on F1 powertrain components. This partnership encompassed critical areas such as compressors, turbos, MGUH, and the development of various "hot" parts. Returning for a subsequent engagement, Fragola Engineering played a pivotal role in assisting with multiple components for the 2026 powertrain. This endeavor entailed extensive design work covering engine parts, MGUK, battery packs, tooling, and components for dyno development. An intriguing aspect of this collaboration was the transition from Catia to NX CAD software, which posed a unique challenge and opportunity for Fragola Engineering. During this transition, Fragola successfully recreated certain parts within the NX environment, demonstrating its adaptability and proficiency in navigating evolving technological platforms.
Fragola Engineering has been instrumental in driving forward three significant powertrain initiatives with Polaris. Initially, We played a key role in designing critical components, including a 180-degree crankshaft, HVAC system, engine covers, and bell housing for a three-cylinder ATV engine. Subsequently, We undertook the development of a complete engine concept and proceeded to design various components for the Indian Scout MY25 engine. Continuing this trajectory, Fragola Engineering transitioned its efforts to the MY26 Indian FTR engine project, further solidifying its partnership with Polaris in advancing innovative powertrain solutions.
